The following is required to add a new mailbox to a star-talk voice mail system:
You should be on a 7310 when performing this operation and know your star-talk password.

F 983 (Voicemail administration)

enter your site password

MBOX

ADD
1. Box Number (enter a box number)
2. EXT No. (enter target extension number)
3. Service Class (enter 1)
4. NAME: (enter name: (last##first)
5. Directory: YES
6. Msg Wait: YES

Once this has been completed, the new box must be primed.
You can do this from any Norstar telephone on your system.

F 981 (normal voicemail access)
You will be prompted for a box number and its password.
Use the box number that you just assigned (in F 983) with a 0000 password.

You will be prompted for a new password because the default 0000 password is assigned.
Enter the desired password for this mailbox.

You will be prompted to record a name. Record the name associated with this voice mail box.

Before getting to excited... go to a phone and leave a message on it. Then attempt to pickup the message you recorded and delete it.

If you managed to get through this...
Congratulations... you have successfully added a new voice mail box to your system.
